2003 Safe & Drug-Free Schools Report - Smokeless Tobacco
 

In similar fashion to the smoking questions above, the surveys asked students about their experiences with chewing or dipping, which is use of so-called smokeless tobacco.  The research shows these practices are popular among only a small percentage of survey participants, and that most in the study have never used these products.

Compared to cigarettes, students are somewhat less likely to see chewing and dipping as very dangerous, and more likely to say it is “kinda dangerous.”
